Mix-CDs von Paul Oakenfold – sowas hat Tradition! Seit Mitte der 90er Jahre versorgt der Brite die globale Szene nun schon mit auf Silberlingen gebannte DJ-Sets. Stellvertretend für die beachtliche Release-Liste seinen hier nur mal "The Goa Mix", die "Tranceport", die beiden Global Underground- oder auch die unzähligen Perfecto-CDs genannt sein. Mit der jüngst veröffentlichten Never mind the bollocks – here’s Paul Oakenfold (bei der Titelwahl wurde man wohl sehr von den Sex Pistols inspiriert) wird dieser Erfolgsgeschichte nun ein weiteres Kapitel hinzugefügt. Ganze 41 energiegeladene und melodische Tracks hat Paul Oakenfold auf zwei CDs aufgeteilt. Mit dabei ist natürlich eine ganze Ecke seines Perfecto– bzw. Perfecto Fluoro-Sounds, also Tracks die man u.a. auch aus seinem regelmäßigen Podcast Planet Perfecto Radio her kennt.

Neben Paul Oakenfold Eigenproduktionen wie "Full moon party" oder "Tokyo" ist auch Material von Label-Kollegen bzw. dem Label nahestehender Künstler auf der Never mind the bollocks Doppel-CD enthalten.
Jonas Hornblad made me a great new version of Grace ‚Not Over Yet‘ which I love and there’s a strong vocal track from Senadee called ‚Life Support Machine‘ which is coming out on Perfecto. Those are on the first CD and then with the Perfecto Fluoro material I selected I wanted to have a mixture of new tracks from our latest signings like Beatman & Ludmilla and Federation with some new remixes of big tunes from the back catalogue. I took my 3 favourite Man with No Name singles from back in the day, ‚Sugar Rush‘, ‚Teleport‘ and ‚Floor Essence‘, and had them remixed by some of the exciting producers currently linked to the label – HAARP, Nick Sentience and Apogee. I was also really pleased to get some killer exclusive tracks for the album including a couple of rocking Fluoro tracks from Tom Colontonio and Jamie Harrison.
Einmal mehr gelingt es Paul Oakenfold ein stilübergreifende Mixtour aus Trance, Progressive, vocallastigen Tracks bis hin zu Acid & Goa zu kreieren. Feedback und Kommentare gibt es wie immer im entsprechenden Thread von tranceforum.info. Hier noch die Tracklist:
